Ms. McManus is a former Commissioner of the New York State Workers’ Compensation Board where she served for eight years as a policymaker and appellate court judge in thousands of cases in controversy and presided over more than 8,000 settlements, both §15-5(b) Lump Sum settlements and §32 Waiver Agreements.
Ms. McManus is an experienced professional with expertise in human resources, employee relations, facilities’ management and operations. She has worked in the fields of mental health, personnel administration and was the Legal Administrator for a mid-sized law firm for 10 years. In addition to private sector employment, she served in elective office as a School Board member, Town Board member and Deputy Supervisor, and as a Monroe County Legislator.
Currently, she is an Independent consultant who advises small and medium sized firms on issues relating to workers’ compensation, Human Resources and general business matters. She also assists companies to develop and implement “Zero Tolerance for Violence” policies and procedures in their workplaces.

When she is not working, she is active in her church, currently serving as a member of Parish Council, is a member and past president of the Rochester Professional Consultants Network, a member of The Italian Women’s Civic Club, and enjoys gardening, travel and family activities with husband, Tom, their children and grandchildren.
